Now!

Everyone wants to have things now.
  • I want to know my grades...NOW!
  • I want you to clean your room NOW!
  • Mommy I want that toy NOW!

The list could go on and on.

We live in the age of NOW(!!). We live in the age of CABLE/T1; 64-Bit CPU's; PS3's and the like. So it should come as no surprise that people expect everything NOW(!!). This makes for a seemingly impatient society. The society of "nowers".

But who am I to talk? I get impatient when my favorite dvd has to "load". I get impatient when it takes more than 20 seconds to boot my pc. Hell I get impatient when I have to heat food up in the microwave! What gives me the right to "complain"? Lots, its one thing to expect a machine to do things now...but as a human...I am in-capable of doing everything NOW! Why is it that others don't see it that way? I wonder...

I wonder, why I'm still writing this...and I should have been logging out...5 minutes ago...I wanna go....NOW!
